Cincinnati La Salle should have state title aspirations with a strong core that’s got a stud in each grade. Higgins is a shifty off guard who had some big games in June where he lit it up from beyond the arc and used his ball handling ability to create looks for himself and teammates. Getting some quality varsity action as a freshman, I expect Higgins to shoot much better percentage wise from 3-point range as a sophomore than he did last winter. Already finishing with a positive assist/turnover ratio last season, Higgins could see his assist numbers skyrocket as his shot creation should lead to defenses collapsing in on him when the ball is in his hands. The Lancers will be a must-watch team in Cincinnati this season!

Higgins broke onto the scene as a rare freshman getting action in the GCL-South. Higgins had a big scoring game with multiple 3-pointers off the dribble and was making plays for others in the pick and roll. Late in the game Higgins had a mid-range bucket and clutch assist to pull away from Apollo in a game filled with college coaches. Expect to hear a lot about Higgins over the next three years as La Salle should contend for conference and regional titles with a strong core that features an impact player in each class.
