A two-way standout led the way for Canyon View who had a strong showing in a tough bracket for the Jaguars. In four games, Nowlin averaged 21 points and showcased his ability to space on the perimeter in the catch-and-shoot game but also drive downhill and finish inside the paint. Defensively, Nowlin shows length for the position and the upside to defend both inside and out.

PJ is a athletic hard working forward with a high motor. PJ showcased his physical ability’s inside the paint by rebounding and attacking the basket aggressively. He invites contact at the rim and often bumps off defenders. He has a nice midrange jumper that allows him the counter his drives. Defensively is where he has the ability to really impact the game. The defensive tools he has will translate to the next level. He has a high motor and it show on the glass. PJ has all the tools to get to the next level and will continue to get better.

PJ is a very athletic wing that likes to get to his spots. His favorite place to create and score is from the midrange. He has nice rise to his jumper and a nice shooting stroke that even extends out to the three. PJ is a plus defender that thrives on this side of the ball. He uses his long wing span to get in passing lanes and block shots. His offensive game improved over the summer as he became more assertive and confident in his scoring ability. He has a chance to take a big leap in scoring as Canyon View graduated their 3 top scorers.
