When you have multiple players who can bring the ball up the court, handle pressure and set teammates up, you give yourself a great chance to find open shots and that’s what Maurer helped with on Saturday. When the defensive intensity turned up, I thought Maurer did a nice job of keeping his cool and using his high IQ to find the open man and swing the basketball. Even knocking down a couple 3-pointers in the second half, Maurer helped put the game away after a run made it close for a little bit.
