Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
High Basketball IQ. My Dad is a coach and I've played since I was 4. While playing up, I've been recognized as a "shooter". After my soph year, I've put focus on my diet and weightroom to gain the strength to be more than that. I've since gained 15 pounds and it has helped with my defense and finishing drives against the level of competition I've been playing against all summer.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I love to win and be around the guys. I'll fill whatever role it takes to win games. I know my role is different from my HS to my Club team. My teammates are my brothers and winning is all that matters to me.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Both my freshman and sophomore year, I won the "Careacter" Star Athlete Award. Each season in Knoxville sports, they recognize student athletes who represent 5 specific traits: Performance, Attitude, Grades, Community Service, Character. I am honored to have won that each of my two years in HS.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I was fortunate to play on my school's varsity team as a freshman and sophomore. I was able to sit back and watch some really good players and learn how to be a leader. This year, we are only returning 2 seniors and I believe I am prepared to step into a leadership role my junior season.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I have an identical twin brother. We have played basketball together our whole lives. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2022. He is in remission now and is doing great, but he has quit playing basketball. That was really hard for me because basketball is something we have always shared together.
What type of college are you looking for?
Any college that will allow me to play for them while earning my degree. Education is very important to me, and I currently hold a 4.04 GPA. I anticipate graduating college and even hope to have some academic scholarships. I just hope to have the opportunity to play basketball at a competitive level 4 more years after I graduate HS.
