About Oliver
Expert Analysis
Victor Taylor | Prep Hoops Scout
Roberts could be a late, great add to a local D3 or JuCo program with his ability to space the floor and create his own shot. With 64 made threes at a 43% mark on the year, he’s shown he likes to get his buckets from the perimeter. With a smooth release, any standstill catch and shoot jumper is pretty much an automatic three points He’s got offers from most D3 programs in the area, such as Guilford, Johnson and Wales, and Brevard, where he would be an impact addition.

Roberts really took over the game down the stretch and really took over as lead distributor in the second half to boost the Vikings. He finished with eight points, seven rebounds and 10 assists, nearly notching a triple-double to show off his ability to make things happen with the ball in his hands. He was another one who’s shot wasn’t falling but he found a way to impact the game with his playmaking ability and further frustrated his opponent in that way. He’s another prospect for DII and DIII programs in the region to get eyes on given his skillset.

Last Season Stats – 14.0 PPG, 4.6 APG, 43% 3FG
Roberts is the more college ready of the two even if his stats aren’t quite there, and really looks like a D2 combo guard. He’s able to shoot it very well too, and the only reason he didn’t make 100 threes last year was because he handles the ball and creates for his guys. He’s got good IQ and the ability to hit singles and just make the right plays. Capable defender that can hold his own as well. Should continue to see his recruitment motor along as he already has multiple offers.

has been an unstoppable force for Juice All-Stars Waka Flocka’s backcourt. He’s a prospect that’s been on the radar at South Granville High with the ability to knock down shots at volume on the perimeter and his high IQ for playmaking. As he improves on his strength/frame, look for programs to look his way.

He’s gotten off to a nice start to the grassroots season and put together a nice showing over the weekend for his team. A player that understands his role and what he does well, he can shoot the ball from three-point land at a very high level and plays the game with a nice amount of confidence.

is a prospect at South Granville High that continues to climb up the radar in the 2024 class. He’s a 6-foot-3 guard that moves into the 93rd position following a productive season as the Vikings lead guard in 2022-23. He put up 14.0 ppg, 4.6 apg, 4.4 rpg and 1.3 spg while shooting 43 percent from behind the arc and from the field as a junior. He’s a name to keep eyes on this summer with Juice All-Stars. DII and DIII programs would be wise to get eyes on him.

Roberts did well to keep control of the team when things were looking bleak in the early going. By the end, he was leading by example and finished with 17 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter to ensure his team sealed the victory. He continues to excel in the backcourt and show off his improvements in the 2024 class with the Vikings.
