Oliver is a tough, competitive combo guard who brings defensive identity to the floor. Hee plays with the kind of edge, toughness, and pride that shows up right away. He does a good job competing at the point of attack, as he takes his matchups personally, and makes ball handlers uncomfortable. He is not just guarding to survive; he is guarding to disrupt. Offensively, he brings value as a slasher and is at his best when he is attacking gaps, getting downhill, and using his toughness to create paint touches. As he continues to build the jumper, tighten the handle, and make the right reads once the defense collapses his stock game will continue to make jumps.
