Bernstein made a strong impression this summer with the way he consistently found ways to affect winning. His defensive activity created opportunities on the other end where he showed good instincts getting out in the open floor and making plays before defenses could get set. He brings a physical edge as a finisher, attacking the paint with confidence and showing he can handle contact at the rim. Bernstein was equally effective competing for rebounds and creating additional possessions for his team. The combination of effort, toughness and two way production gives him a strong foundation and we see plenty of room for his stock to continue rising

Bernstein was a high impact player for Rocky Mountain Rebound, making his biggest plays by turning great defense into easy offense. He was active on the defensive end, disrupting possessions and quickly pushing the pace in transition. Around the basket he played with strength and confidence, finishing through contact and attacking the rim with purpose. Bernstein also battled relentlessly on the glass, securing rebounds in traffic and giving his team valuable extra possessions. His toughness, motor and ability to influence the game on both ends made him one of the more impressive performers of the tournament and a player with plenty of upside moving forward

Bernstein is a player we instantly added to the watch list after watching him, as he has a very mature game, and we feel it could translate. He looked one step ahead at our event to start the Spring and the game slowed down for him. He had a ton of transition baskets, attacked 1-on-1 situations, and understands angles, which he used to get to the rim. Once the game opened up, he played with composure and made smart decisions in space. There’s a steadiness to the way he plays that stands out, and the court awareness is evident. He lit it up with easy baskets and is a microwave scorer and a name we added to the list, but certainly want to see more of.

Bernstein displayed strong court awareness and anticipation, particularly when it came to reading passing lanes and creating opportunities on defense. His ability to see plays develop allowed him to disrupt opposing offenses and turn defense into offense. Bernstein was effective in transition, showing composure as he ran the break and created scoring chances for his teammates.
