I really like the player Reece is. He is a sneaky-good athlete, and it shows with his on-ball defensive ability. He has great feet and lateral quickness. He then has a good first step and attacks the angles to get to the rim well. He is a stocky and strong guard. He finished with contact well. He plays the game the way it should be played and knows what the right decisions are. He started cooking defenders and blowing by defenders in the 3rd quarter, which gave his team a lead that they never looked back from after being in a back-and-forth game.

One of the top sophomore scorers in Ohio, Reece averaged over 23 PPG for Berea-Midpark this season. I love the motor he plays with as he flies around the court which is a perfect fit for the Titans full-court pressure and high-tempo style of play. Reece also has a strong frame which also helps him out on the gridiron during the fall. A guard who has shown the ability to go off on the right night, dropping 41 on Saint Edward early in the season. I’ll be curious to see if Reece grows a little more and how he evolves as a player. He’s already very productive at the high school level and excels in multiple sports, the type of kid small college programs would love to add to their program.

Reece has been a hot name in northeast Ohio this season after breaking the Berea-Midpark school record for points in a game against Saint Ed’s. He showed why on Friday as Reece can fill it up in a hurry as a slasher. Playing with a high motor, Reece gets some easy buckets off the full-court press that Berea-Midpark runs for the full 32 minutes. Combine that with his strength and soft touch at the rim and he’s efficient in the paint as well. On a night where he couldn’t really find his 3-point shot, Reece still finished with around 25 points, a top scorer in northeast Ohio’s 2027 class.
