Tarro, a senior out of La Salle, took his game to another level this winter while taking the reigns as the go-to scorer for his team. He passed the 1,000-point mark this winter and was arguably the top athlete in the state, showing a knack for making plays in the open floor. He was hard to guard when he got downhill off the bounce, was a terrific off-ball cutter, and had the ability to operate as a grab-and-go rebounder on the defensive end of the floor. The improvement of his perimeter game, particularly his jump shot, made it so that he was a threat to go for 20 and 10 every time he stepped on the floor.

Tarro, a senior wing out of La Salle Academy, is one of the premier athletes in the RIIL and a two-way standout on the hardwood. The 6’3″ wing thrives as an off-ball scorer, showing good instincts as a cutter and the ability to finish plays in a variety of ways around the rim. He does a nice job of battling on the offensive glass, can finish with authority above the rim in space, and has even started to consistently knock down perimeter jumpers in catch and shoot situations. On top of all that, he’s one of the top wing defenders in the state and does a nice job of quickly turning steals into transition scoring opportunities.

Tarro, a senior wing out of La Salle Academy, will look to take the reigns for one of the state’s top programs. He is a big time scorer of the basketball, using next level burst as a driver and athleticism around the rim as a finisher. He can make shots in the mid-range and from behind the arc, but stands out with his ability to impact the game as a slasher and cutter. Defensively, he creates turnovers in passing lanes, rebounds it at a high level, and can even provide rim protection from the help side.

Tarro does all of the little things for BCRI. The 6-foot-3 swingman has excellent energy and a really impressive motor, so he’s constantly crashing the glass for offensive and defensive rebounds and is always on the ground for loose balls. Offensively, Tarro can do a little bit of everything but really excels as a cutter and finisher above the rim. Defensively, his size and athleticism allows him to guard one through four, and his toughness and IQ makes him a great team defender. He will definitely find himself a D3 fit.

Tarro, #134 overall and #33 among the small forwards, could the top prospect in the RIIL this winter. The 6’3″ wing is a good athlete that knows how to put the ball in the basket. He knocks down shots in catch and shoot situations and does a great job of leveraging his shooting to open up driving lanes. He attacks the rim off drives, is a high IQ cutter off the ball, and can finish above the rim with his athleticism. Defensively, he does a nice job of guarding on the perimeter, using his lateral mobility to his advantage when defending the ball and, on top of that, is a high level rebounder. He’ll be highly recruited in New England, particularly at the Division III level, but could intrigue scholarship level schools too.

Tarro, a wing out of LaSalle Academy, checks into the rankings at #142, climbing 44 spots since our last update. A high academic prospect, he was one of the top wings in the RIIL this winter. This spring, he’s continued to show that he can score at multiple levels, makes plays with the ball in his hands, and operate as a decision maker in the half-court. He’s a plus athlete that can really finish around the rim, uses his frame to his advantage as a two-way rebounder, and has the ability to guard forwards due to his strength. The Rhode Island Magic guard should have wide ranging Division III interest this summer and could play his way into priority recruit status in New England.
