Howell, a guard out of the Kent School in Connecticut, proved to be a versatile defender during his post-graduate year. The 6’2″ guard plays much bigger than his size, while also having good lateral mobility, both of which allow him to defend at a high level across the board. He’s got a muscular build that helps him to hold his ground in the post and to rebound it in traffic. Offensively, he’s got some wiggle off the bounce and the ability to get into the paint with a quick first step, where he shows good vision as a passer and the ability to score over size with touch. He will head back to Canada in the fall to continue his academic and athletic careers at the University of Prince Edward Island.
