We took in Minnesota Rise playing Beast Elite, a high octane Texas team that spent the entire game coming downhill at opponents with speed on Saturday. There are some players that have not seen a team like this much so their reaction is pause and maybe fear, or the reaction is to rise to the challenge and compete. With guards skills in a long, 6’3 frame, Mitchell Hopp Mitchell Hopp 6'3" | CG/PG New Ulm Public | 2027 State MN seemed to relish the challenge. Hopp went at the smaller but quick defenders getting to the foul line a few times plus he moved the ball so the Rise could get the right shots. In all Hopp scored 12 points knocking out four attempts and it was a combination of face-up scores and smooth traffic finishes.

Overall I really loved the way Hopp competed to get the win.
