Anytime you see an athletic 6’5 point guard, it catches your eye. Using his size and speed, Wright is able to impact every aspect of the game. Offensively, he’s a pass-first guard who has a knack for finding cutting teammates. Wright utilizes his length at the rim and is able to elevate over defenders. Though 6’5, he has great athleticism and can truly guard one through three at the next level. Though a little raw, the potential is through the roof. If he can continue to improve his already good shot and continue refining his overall game, it goes without saying he’s an intriguing prospect going into his senior year. 

Wright averaged 17.7 points per game this season for Wheeler County. A guard with good size and length, he fills the stat sheet with his all around production. He gets downhill effectively and finishes in the paint, while his above average athleticism adds to his impact. An improving perimeter shot maker, he also sees the floor well and can find teammates, making him a well rounded backcourt prospect.

A productive wing who quietly puts together strong numbers, Wright has emerged as a go-to option in his classification. His impact shows in consistent scoring and versatility—capable of filling it up while also rebounding and defending. At 6-5, he brings size to the perimeter and can stretch the floor while attacking mismatches. His production reflects a player who understands how to score within the flow. Took a huge jump from Year 1 to Year 2 and continued his torrid pace as a junior, guiding Wheeler County to the Elite 8 while averaging 17.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 3.2 steals and 1.1 blocks.

Wright has enjoyed a significant leap from Year 1 to Year 2. After averaging 5.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steals, Michael has dumped in 17.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.8 steals. His three-point shot has improved. He can stroke it off the catch but can also get to his jumper off the dribble. Wright’s size and bounciness makes him impactful around the rim.
