Wright taking the leap that he did is a major reason the Raiders improved in 10 wins from the prior season. Without being the most physically developed guard, Wright drove to the hoop using his strength and quick bursts to bump defenders out of the way and to absorb contact as he finished or passed. His toughness was evident on the other end as well. Opposing guards struggled to drive through him or push him off spots. So between points in the paint, foul drawing, and defense, Wright wore down teams as the game went on.
