I didn’t know about Akindele until he came and competed at the Prep Hoops Expo this fall. That got him on our radar but a strong performance at the Ohio Valley Hoops Classic got him into our rankings. That game has been his breakout performance of the season but he’s still averaging 13 PPG on 7/12 from 3-point range through three contests, the Thunderhawks are 3-0 as well. I think Akindele is a perfect fit at the small college level due to his body, strength and shooting ability. If he wants to play college basketball, he should have no trouble finding local colleges interested in him.
