finds a way to fit in with the talent around him while standing out in his own way. Allen is coming off of a NCHSAA 2A State Championship this past season with Queens Grant and has used that momentum to propel him into this travel ball season. On Saturday, Allen was a lethal shooter off the catch with his pure release, showcasing his off ball movement and consistency from beyond the arc. Like I said with this team being so stacked, it makes Allen’s job simple which is perfect for his game to translate to EYBL play. Allen continues to cement his status as a premier prospect in North Carolina and will start to garner national attention sooner rather than later.

Allen is a really intriguing wing guard prospect with a ton of skill, including but not limited to his ability to make shots from distance at a high clip. The beautiful part of what Allen was able to do this past weekend is that there were games where he struggled from beyond the arc and he found a way to be a major positive for his team in other ways, showcasing his versatility. He helped his Team CP3 EYBL 16u team to an undefeated weekend at the Phenom Hoops Grassroots TOC in Rock Hill. Allen made plays at the rim in transition, contributed on the glass, and found a way to be a high level connector at both ends of the floor. Allen’s ability to make shots at his size along with all of the other things he is capable of on the floor was on full display last weekend as we expect it to be moving forward this spring/summer with Team CP3 .

Allen has been Queens Grant High’s fourth-leading scorer as the small-forward spot. He’s shown his poise on the wing and in the painted area for the Stallions as one of a few freshman names leading the charge for them. He’s produced 9.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.4 steals per game in his debut season on the varsity stage. He’s just scratching the surface of what he can do.
