About Mason
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I’m a 6’1 versatile, high-IQ forward and facilitator who can score at all three levels. I play unselfish, team first basketball, move the ball, create for others, and have off ball movement. I let my defense, communication, and leadership set the tone while controlling the pace of the game.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m competitive, coachable, and team first. I stay composed under pressure, communicate constantly, and I’m confident but humble. I let my work ethic and game speak for itself.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills by being vocal on defense, communicating constantly, and putting the team first. I take pride in making the right play, holding myself accountable, and bringing consistent effort and energy every day.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
In 7th grade, I broke the growth plate in my thumb and missed the whole season. In 8th grade, I barely played maybe 10 minutes all year, only after the game was decided, which was frustrating and mentally tough. Instead of quitting, I used it as motivation to work harder every day. That experience helped me grow mentally and physically, and now I’m one of only 3 freshman on Varsity.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college with a strong coaching staff and great facilities that will push me to develop both as a player and a person. I want to be in a competitive environment where I can grow my skills, expand my basketball IQ, and prepare myself for an opportunity to play at the professional level.
