Marshaun is quick off the dribble and gets downhill in a hurry. His burst off the bounce allows him to create advantages and consistently pressure the defense. He makes sound decisions running the team and does a strong job balancing scoring with playmaking. The lanky frame and long arms create problems defensively, allowing him to disrupt actions and generate mismatches. Offensively, he is highly creative and does a great job attacking weaknesses as soon as he identifies them. He also brings tough, hard-nosed leadership, keeping his teammates organized. Continiously showing strong senior presence throughout the game.

Marshaun Bard Marshaun Bard 5'11" | PG East Central | 2027 State TX was a speedy and shifty point guard playing for Cowboys 17u last weekend and showcased his talents in some big games. Bard has quickness and an elite dribble package to beat defenders off the dribble with a quick first step out of the triple threat and he knows how to get to his spots and knock down shots. I liked his playmaking when the defense was keyed in on him, passing it to open teammates with clean looks at the basket.  

Ultra-quick, shifty guard who looks to get into the paint or create for others. Attacks the rim without hesitation and plays fearless through contact. Keeps pressure on the defense with his speed and change of direction. Will dive on the floor and competes on every possession. Shooting consistency is the swing skill.

Bard is a compact, high-energy lead guard who demonstrates advanced physicality and maturity for his age. He plays with intent, his handle is efficient, his first step is explosive, and he consistently finishes through contact using a variety of touch shots, including floaters and pull-ups. What separates Bard is his command. He dictates pace, initiates offense, and leads with his voice and play. Defensively, he’s engaged and disruptive at the point of attack. His ability to impact both ends was consistent throughout the weekend.
