Expert Analysis

Andrew Gill

Prep Hoops Scout

Markus is an athletic player with good size who brings a strong presence around the basket. Defensively, he protects the rim and uses his physical tools to challenge shots inside. Offensively, Markus attacked the rim aggressively and looked to finish around the basket. He played hard on both ends and brought consistent energy to the floor.

We only saw Shamyer in a handful of posessions as he was mainly playing on the far court, but the rising senior was doing what we saw out of him in June. The undersized forward was battling on the boards, getting physical, and showing great motor on the defensive end.
