Marcel Pierre Louise
About Marcel
Expert Analysis
Sam Levine | Prep Hoops Scout
The athletic big man was a pain in every teams side on the way to a tournament championship for his Head-Royce Jayhawks. What stood out to me the most in Pierre-Louis game was his defensive presence and awareness. It is rare to see someone at the high school level really understand defensive positioning like he does. He was able to help off of his defensive assignment to be a rim protecter and stop any passes going past him to his big man opponent. He had multiple steals and blocks in every game he played in throughout this tournament. Marcel will continue to progress with his skills as a player and will look to be a standout in the Bay Area Conference this season.

He’s a strong body prospect who works well inside the paint with strong finishes around the rim, he’ll hit the paint jumper. At 6’7 he’s improving his ball handling, and shooting range to have more of a perimeter game, he did hit a couple of open 3’s. He sets solid screens. He attacks the glass for rebounds, and has strength to defend in the post. He’s a double, double at this level.

He’s a solid body forward, at 6’6 with an expanding skill set. He’s a muscular prospect who plays with force in the post area. He’s hard to guard when he gets it going. He’s a rebounder, has the strength to defend in the post. He’s shown he can handle in open court, hit the short jumper, and an occasional 3ptr.
