Mason has been the most impressive prospect on this list and while he’s already in the top 75, he’s set to receive a healthy bump in the update after a fall of proving himself as arguably the best guard in the MIAA B Conference. He brings effective positional size at 6-foot-4 and given his ability to get buckets in bunches, I really like the way he generates his looks within the flow. The trio of guards that head coach Sam Beverly has in Mason, Troy Taylor Troy Taylor 6'3" | CG Friends School Of Baltimore | 2027 State MD and Charlie Nugent should have the Quakers in strong position to make a run at the B Conference title. They may be the least talked about program in their respective conference who are legitimate contenders, but it will only be a matter of time before that word spreads quickly around the league and area.

Mason has impressed me anytime I’ve seen him take the floor this summer/fall. The backcourt duo of him and 2027 Troy Taylor Troy Taylor 6'3" | CG Friends School Of Baltimore | 2027 State MD will have Friends heavily in the mix for MIAA B Conference supremacy, but it isn’t because of the various ways Mason can put the ball in the basket. It’s his activity defensively that makes him seem like he’s in complete control of the game at both ends for long spurts. Any skip passes were met by Mason flying around in the lanes and usually coming up with an interception. If he wasn’t getting the ball and heading the other way, he was at least causing a deflection to give others a chance for a run out. I feel confident in saying that Mason is one of the better small college prospects in the state and will be a guy who is able to make an immediate impact at that level next fall as a freshman.

Big weekend for Mason Jr., who looks to be one of the better prospects in the MIAA B Conference this season. He uses his blend of length and wiggle to get to his spots inside the arc, but also showed some improved touch and creativity with his drives to the cup. Mason doesn’t need to dribble ball to make his presence known as he showcased instincts as a mover without it, spotting up for catch-and-shoots that he converted with efficiency. His versatility bleeds over onto the defensive end where he could likely guard 1-4 positions throughout this season for head coach Sam Beverly.

-He didn’t take many shots in this game but was an effective midrange jump-shooter that impacted the game at the defensive end of the floor for his team in a win over Huntingtown. The pull-up elbow jumper going either way is money as Mason gets into his shooting form quickly off the bounce and is capable of making the shot over bigger guards. Mason hit a tough fall-away jumper pivoting away from the rim after the defender forced him to pick up his dribble, did a good job of touching the paint and kicking to corner shooters, and got his hand on a ton of passes in the frontcourt to turn his opponent over before they even reached halfcourt. Loved the pace and patience that he plays with as a good decision-maker that is constantly looking for the best shot for his team.

-Mason functions well as a connective wing that brings a diverse skillset to the floor as a shoot, pass, dribble wing that maximizes his touches. Mason attacked closeouts on ball reversals well from the wing as a good decision-maker that gets into gaps to force the defense to leave his shooters open. Mason started off the game with 3 straight assists in transition to build the early lead, timed a baseline rotation well to save a bucket in transition with an emphatic block, and showed good touch around the basket with short floaters.
