Marach Dau Marach Dau 6'9" | C/PF Ames | 2026 State IA showcased his elite length and athleticism throughout this game. As a defender he was very disciplined and smart. He always stayed vertical and challenged shots without jumping, avoiding fouls and making shots very tough for opponents. Even with him being very cautious as a defender, he still collected a good amount of blocks in this game with his length and fluidity. He was a constant pest in this game on defense. It seemed like he would get a finger on every pass that was thrown, while also pressuring ball handlers on the perimeter and making shots extremely difficult around the basket. His ability to get his hands on the ball also showed through on the glass as well. Again, it seemed like he would at least get a tap at every missed shot, while also coming down with many boards himself and smacking them out to his teammates. He was especially elite on the offensive glass, gaining extra possessions and finishing putbacks. He showed an ability to finish at the rim and used his scoring threat to find his teammates while on the move.
