From Columbus Academy in Gahanna to a Gahanna High School product, the duo of Davis and Dillard have been impressive in the fall league. An undersized guard, Dillard hit a lot of shots off the bounce including back-to-back pull-up 3-pointers with under two minutes to play to cut the deficit from 6 to 3 and then 5 to 2 in crunch time. Able to change speeds quickly off the bounce and did a good job beating the first defender and kicking to a shooter. The best ball movement I saw all day featured Dillard’s team as they made six or seven passes in quick succession before finally finding Dillard for a wide open spot-up 3-pointer that he calmly knocked down. Gahanna has a lot of guard talent so it’ll be interesting to see who emerges for them this winter and takes control of the offense.
