With full-court defensive pressure applied to him, he was quick to scan the floor and get the ball ahead, creating early scoring opportunities both in the halfcourt and in transition. Madden’s handles were so incredibly precise and pristine that he was able to navigate all sorts of pressure without ever seeming fazed by what was thrown at him. Hill played with strong shot selection, scoring in multiple ways but really impressing with his efficiency off quick shallow cut actions, popping out and ripping by closeouts into one- or two-dribble pull-ups. He also proved to be an elite downhill guard in transition and the halfcourt, displaying remarkable creativity attacking gaps and exploding toward the rim. Late in the fourth quarter, he showcased clutch shot-making ability, knocking down consecutive pull-up threes to shrink the lead and show real fight and determination to win. A remarkable player with very few weaknesses, and he’s only getting better. A well-built point guard with the physique, mindset, and skillset of a high-level prospect.
