Just a consistent, tough interior player who had the same impact no matter who was lining up across from him. Heisel had his biggest scoring game (17 points) in their loss to Rainier Beach, and still shot 5-of-9 from the field and 7-of-8 at the foul line. He finished top-10 in field goal percentage and rebounding, while also chipping in a couple of assists and a block a game. He really does all the dirty work and keeps coming back for more each time.
A near double-double and four stocks in the win over Edmonds-Woodway highlight the type of game-changing impact the sophomore forward has had this season. He’s a long 6-foot-6 and really utilizes that wingspan to disrupt and clog things up in the paint. He’s also shown a great connection with his other frontcourt players, working some nice high-low action.
