Dillon was excellent in both of his games Sunday, balancing his own scoring with setting the table for his teammates. A deceptively athletic guard, he attacked the rim without hesitation and found open teammates along the way. He’s been on an upward trajectory for much of 2026 and belongs on the shortlist of Long Island’s best players, regardless of class, heading into the season.

Among the overall standouts from the entire event, Dillon put on a show while announcing himself loudly to the predominantly Philly-based crowd in attendance. Chaminade came down from Long Island for a pair of Sunday games, providing Dillon a platform to showcase his electric two-way game. A budding lead guard, he’s at his best attacking the rim where he’s an athletic and ambidextrous finisher with dynamic explosiveness in the open floor. He’s a smart and instinctive passer with crafty vision for drive and kicks, and a tough-nosed defender on the other end of the floor. Dillon is a reliable perimeter shooter with his feet set but isn’t much of a pullup threat right now and could benefit from building out his overall middle game. Young for his grade, Dillon should continue to trend up within Northeast D1 recruiting boards.

Dillon is arguably the face of the CHSAA on Long Island this season and will look to lead the Flyers to another championship. While his brother Kyle may have graduated the entire program is confident in Lucas and his ability to be a leader for this group. He’s a really gifted scorer who’s physical, athletic and skilled. His competitiveness, desire to win, next play attitude and toughness is what we like the most. 

Look for big things from this young player. Scores from all three levels. Can play either guard spot with his ability to pass , handle it or score in a variety of ways. A flat out playmaker.

The Flyers got nice production from their outstanding Sophomore last season and now will ask him to do even more with his older brother Kyle now graduated. He’s a physical guard who can score around the rim, in the mid range at the line or from downtown. His confidence grew throughout the winter, he’s got sneaky athleticism, he’s coachable and a winner. Dillon should be a Long Island CHSAA All Leaguer and might be the favorite for MVP.

This was the second time I’ve been able to watch Dillon play, and he backed up the strong first impression he made the first time I saw him back in December. His current team operates in a style similar to his high school team, but he clearly stands out as the top prospect on the floor. He showed the ability to play both on and off the ball, consistently doing the little things to make the game easier on himself and his teammates. I really liked how he sought out contact offensively, living at the foul line and doing a lot of his damage there. Dillon was also a threat as an off-ball slasher and generated second-chance opportunities with his rebounding activity. He proved capable of scoring from deep and showed that, despite being in the smaller guard category, he possesses noticeable athleticism.

Dillon impressed with his all-around floor game. He was a threat to play on or off the basketball. Dillon connected on a few three pointers throughout the game. He never got sped up and was in full control when he had the ball in his hands. He even showed that he can play above the rim and is a sneaky athlete. He chipped in 18 points and had no issues finding different ways to score.
