The best way to describe Jemison’s game is smooth. He glides up and down the court and has no wasted motion on his shot or his dribble moves to the hoop. Against New Hampton, he struggled to guard Blackwood early on but picked up his energy and pressure as the game went on. Offensively, he hit shots throughout the game and found some success crafting his way to the rim with slow, long steps that threw off the defense. He reminds me SO MUCH of Cam Reddish; the way he moves, how his shot looks, and his size and athleticism. Sky’s the limit for him if he can continue to develop at the next level.

Jemison is an extremely high-level prospect. The 6-foot-8 wing can shoot the ball incredibly well from deep, both off the dribble and in standstill situations. But he can also take players off the bounce and showcases solid athleticism at the rim. He’s VERY smooth when running the floor in transition and uses his long arms and size to finish over bigs. His body type and the way he moves reminds me a lot of Cam Reddish, so the sky’s the limit for Jemison. He’ll be at Alabama next year and will turn heads with his combination of size and shooting ability.

Jemison thrived as a shot-maker and had four three pointers in their win over Bridgeport Prep (CT). He showed he could score on the attack. Jemison really breaks the game down and shows great patience. He uses his size to grab rebounds. He was perfect from the foul line. Jemison has a bright future ahead of him when he goes to play in the SEC.

continued to show why he is one of the premier scoring forwards New England has to offer. He was getting to the basket and scoring around the rim, taking on contact, and hitting reverse layups through traffic. His speed and athleticism also stood out, highlighted by taking his man off the dribble and driving and dunking from the baseline. He was lights out from three-point range, especially off the catch, and used his smooth delivery to stay efficient throughout the weekend. Lastly, I was impressed by his weak side rim protection and ability to make a crucial block in big situations. The Alabama commit produced on a big stage and was clearly one of the top standouts.

Jemison recently announced that he will continue his basketball career at the University of Alabama. A versatile wing, Jemison has the ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor and does so at a high level while remaining incredibly efficient. Defensively, he has the tools to guard four positions and can disrupt the flow of offense on or off the ball. He’s a solid athlete that has great positional size and length. On the offensive end of the floor, he’s a gifted scorer that gets to his spots off the bounce and has continued to improve his jumper over the last year. He does a great job of attacking the rim in transition, knows how to take advantage of mismatches, and continues to show the ability to make high level reads in the half-court. Jemison is a terrific early piece in this class for Alabama and profiles as the type of prospect that has the potential to be a multi-time all league performer in the SEC.

I can’t help but see a lot of Cam Reddish when I’m watching

play. The 6-foot-8 wing is so smooth with the ball and glides down the court with the same sort of athleticism and movement patterns as Reddish. He’s got a beautiful-looking shot release and the type of footwork that’ll allow him to be a movement shooter at the next level. Defensively, Jemison can guard both shorter and taller players and moves really well for his size and length, much like Reddish does. I’m incredibly intrigued to see how Jemison’s body develops, because the ceiling for him is truly endless if he continues to grow/get stronger.

If Aristode is the best NBA prospect from Expressions Elite 17u, Jemison has to be number two. Interestingly enough, the two have very similar bodies and skillsets. Like Aristode, Jemison has an incredibly smooth shot release from three and shoots it with great accuracy — he shot 40% from three on 35 shots during the Peach Jam, exhibiting his ability to be a big-time shooter at the next level. He moves well without the ball and has good footwork to set himself. He also uses his size and length to glide to the rim and finish with the best of them, but he’s a little less able to finish with contact than his wing-mate Aristode. Jemison will be a high-level D1 prospect that should absolutely be on the eyes of NBA teams. 6-foot-8, athletic wing with length who can stroke it? Sign me up.
