Hawley passes the eye test. Listed at 6’8 and has one big strong body. That’s what the kid plays like too. Very big body with a good presence in the paint. He is a very good athlete as well. He gets up on rebounds and blocks. Moves extremely well. Runs the floor well. Hawley is someone any coach would want on his team.

Hawley had a big June for Preble Shawnee and is back making noise. A small college target, Hawley has great size that a lot of programs want to battle on the interior. Using his size in the paint there were a few times Hawley just turned and shot over the smaller defenders. Also showing some touch on a baseline 10-foot jumper, Hawley showed that he’s continuing his momentum he’s built in June to grassroots play.

This 6’7″ big man out of Preble Shawnee High School is a very efficient scorer around the basket and has shown some very intriguing shot-blocking ability as well. Hawley averaged 8.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game as a junior and will be playing with a talented R4L 2024 squad this weekend at The Stage.

is their superstar, Hawley has taken some significant steps this season. Currently leading his conference at 2.7 blocks per game, Hawley is a match-up nightmare for small schools without anybody his size in the paint. Efficient at scoring at the rim, Hawley is shooting 64.7% from the field this season. Look for Hawley to be highly pursued by small colleges due to his size, rim protection and athleticism.
