His length consistently disrupted plays on both ends of the floor, while his ability to run the floor created easy scoring opportunities in transition. Alfonso also displayed excellent instincts as a cutter, moving without the ball and finding open space for quality looks. Offensively his reliable mid range jumper added another dimension to his game, forcing defenders to respect him away from the basket. Logan Alfonso put together a dynamic showing at the tournament, running the show with confidence. He consistently got downhill using his quick first step to break down defenders and attack the lane. Once there he showed great touch and body control, finishing through contact and around bigger defenders. His step back jumper was a major weapon, creating space and knocking it down when his team needed a bucket. Alfonso played with pace, kept defenses on their heels and made smart decisions throughout. His ability to score at all three levels while controlling the tempo made him a tough matchup and a key contributor all weekend long

Alfonso has wasted no time making an impact since making the jump to varsity at D’Evelyn. While the numbers may look modest at 4.6 points per game, the value he brings goes far beyond the box score. He’s a true shooter who can stretch the floor, knock down shots from deep,and punish defenses when they lose track of him. Alfonso is learning how to find his spots, play within the flow and score efficiently. As his confidence continues to grow, expect his production to rise right along with it

Alfonso is a smart 6’1 wing who plays the game the right way. He’s shot-ready off screens, has great floor awareness, and makes the right reads as a playmaker. Even at a young age, his all-around game is polished—he rebounds, defends, and finds teammates in rhythm. While not a high-volume scorer, he fills his role perfectly. We’re excited to see how he shows off his IQ and glue-guy skills against other top wings in the state.
