Cure is one of the best rim protectors in the state (see Shot Blockers Watchlist: 1A-3A). He is a strong and athletic defender who’s numbers speak for themselves. Offensively, Cure is a great athlete, capable of highlight dunks. He has good touch around the rim, a good jumper, and is a skilled playmaker in the post.

Cure, a 5-star football recruit, brings strength, length, and athleticism to the basketball court. He can play above the rim on both ends. With a long wingspan, Cure can block shots well out of his reach.

If you like tall leapers like Wilkins, and you like multisport studs like Heckel, then you’re going to love Cure. He’s long, explosive and powerful. He showed off his shot blocking and alley-oop finishing abilities on the state-tournament Goodland run. Cure has a rare kind of athleticism that plays in any sport and it is really dominant running the floor.

There aren’t many players we’re more interested to see this year than Cure. He has an intriguing set of skills and an interesting game. He is a skilled big man who handles the ball and attacks like a guard. Will it play within the varsity context? Can he limit the turnovers while maximizing his playmaking ability? He got significant exposure as a freshman and may make a big leap as a sophomore. He’s just to physically gifted and skilled to not have a role as a sophomore.
