Leo was electric and earned player of the game honors in De La Salle’s win over Corona Centennial on Saturday night. Ricketts finished the game with 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 three’s and had an even bigger impact on the game than that. He galvanized both the team and the crowd at different points in this one to keep Centennial from taking back the lead with timely three’s, steals, and trips to the line.

He’s as feisty a competitor as you’ll see in NorCal. At 6’0 he’s a hard playing guard, that gets after it on both ends. He scraps for loose balls, never gives up on a play. He has the tools to run the offense up top, and make shots working off ball. He can knock down the open 3’s, and get it high off the glass on drives. He has the confidence to take and make the big shot.

There’s a good chance Ricketts had one of his best performances as a high school player coming off the bench for the Spartan to help pull off the upset of the top ranked team in Oregon, West Linn with Jackson Shelstad (Oregon commit) on the court. The 5’10 SG had 17pts, 4-3’s off the bench. He was 4/4 from 3.
