From the moment the ball was tipped-off, Lekendrick Taylor immediately caught my attention as an elite dunking athlete who continuously showed off his variety of dunks in the halfcourt and most of all, on fastbreaks. The 6-foot-8-inch prospect was such a lob threat that he threw down 3 slam dunks in the first 5 minutes of play. Taylor was by far the top lob threat in the showcase, his quickness off the ground combined with his vertical leap made him an absolute terror to contain whenever he navigated off the ball. He showed good controlled aggression on the floor, Taylor attacked rebounds in the air before flying down the court and punching tomahawk slams. Taylor’s ability to snag a defensive rebound and take it coast to coast was wildly impressive, he showed off a nice bag of dribbling moves and shot creation skills for a power forward. His dynamic dribble penetration capabilities made him a constant mismatch on the perimeter against opposing bigs and forwards.
