In both games I watched, opposing defenders had a hard time shutting down Lee Gamez Lee Gamez 6'3" | SG Xavier L Cedar Rapids Iowa | 2025 IA . at 6’3 he has a strong frame that allows him to act as a small-ball forward at times, but he’s also a major threat from beyond the arc. He was one of the best shooters I saw over the weekend as he was making defenders pay for giving him too much space. Lee isn’t the quickest player, but with such a fast release on his shot he doesn’t need much space to get it off. Very active off the ball just finding pockets of space to catch and make plays. Does a nice job of finding a body to box out as soon as a shot goes up.

Lee helped lead his Team Iowa squad to a comfortable win in the game I watched. He started off with 9 points in just the first few minutes of the game, showing his ability to stretch the floor with his outside jumper or power his way to the basket. He’s a bit of an undersized stretch-four, with his strong frame allowing him to play a bit bigger than his height. Gamez was knocking down pick & pop jumpers, using his body to box out and attack rebounds with two hands, and setting good screens to free up his teammates in a win.
