Expert Analysis

Branch never misses an opportunity to elevate his game and get himself some exposure. This was my third time seeing him in a Prep Hoops gym, and with each viewing, another layer of his game reveals itself. Even with more offensive aid around him this time, he remained the steady go-to option. He reminds me of Tobias Harris in the sense that he’s a true three-level scorer who can thrive in any offensive role. Whether he’s the first, second, or even third option, he’s comfortable making an impact and finding ways to contribute offensively.

This is my second time getting to watch Landunn in detail, and it was more of the same on my end — impressed. This time around, he highlighted different aspects of his game. Where last time I saw a more aggressive scorer, this time I got to see a patient, under-control player letting the game come to him. He confirmed his ability to have and offensive impact regardless if he has the ball in his hands or not, adding another layer to his game.

didn’t. I watched him drain three-pointer after three-pointer, then sprint back on defense and give full effort every time down the floor. Not only was his effort undeniable—he executed at a high level. Branch refused to get beat off the ball, consistently cutting off the ball handler and fighting through screens to maintain position.

Landunn has a lanky frame, and he knows how to use it to his advantage. He runs the floor well and finishes high at the rim in transition. His length is a weapon from deep—getting his shot off above defenders makes it tough to contest. On the defensive end, he’s a strong on-ball defender, fighting through screens and keeping his man in front of him.
