About Landon
Expert Analysis
Tom Keller | Prep Hoops Scout
Sallie impressed with his relentlessness on the attack, willing his way to buckets and finding different ways to put the ball in the cup. He consistently scored through traffic and contact while converting several tough shots. He also lived at the charity stripe, knocking down multiple opportunities from the foul line. Sallie connected on two three-pointers, though he did force a few deep attempts he didn’t necessarily need to take, especially without a shot clock in play. Sallie had a fair share of assists. Defensively, he showed a nose for the ball, generating steals and quickly turning defense into offense. He finished with a game-high 33 points in the loss. With his production and scoring instincts, it would not be surprising to see low- to mid-major programs begin tracking him this spring and summer as they identify underclassmen to monitor.

The second-leading scorer in the entire district, Sallie has arrived as a bona fide star after a standout freshman year. He recently crossed the 1,000-point plateau and despite facing consistent double teams and ball denials, is averaging north of 29 points per game. Sallie looks to be one of the elite shooters in his class across the region, if not the country, with a lightning-quick release and effortless range flowing into 3’s off the catch or dribble. He shows increasing flashes as a ballhandler and passer as well with the potential to mature into a modern lead guard over time. Sallie has the upside to rise from here if he’s able to blossom physically and refine his on-ball package, but is looking increasingly like a surefire D1 prospect no matter what.

Continuing to emerge quickly as one of the top sophomores in the state, Sallie shined from start to finish in an emphatic 27-point effort. One of the more dynamic shooters you’ll find, he rained in a trio of deep 3s while displaying polished footwork, effortless range, and a lightning-quick release. More impressive was his work off the dribble, where he showed improved quickness and shiftiness while playing strong through physicality in search of his spots. Sallie plays with boundless confidence while displaying advanced court vision and useful creativity as both a passer and finisher. He has room to grow as a defender and finisher around the rim, with added strength expected to help in both regards. Overall he’s someone that D1 coaches across levels should be starting to track closely.

Sallie garnered some buzz as a freshman and heading into a breakout July on the EYBL circuit with Team Melo, but has really taken off while nearly doubling his scoring average toward upward of 30 points per game. As potent a perimeter shooter as you’ll find in the state, he shows a lightning-quick release and effortless range while knocking down over 4 3s per contest. He’s shown tremendous growth in leveraging his shooting gravity to make plays downhill both for himself and teammates. Defensively, while his lack of strength can be exploited, he does well to use his length and quickness to cause deflections and force turnovers. The ceiling here could be really high as he adds functional strength and gains more reps against higher-level athletes.

Sallie had a great grassroots season putting together a ton of strong performances. He is a rangy shot-maker who can get a bucket in the blink of an eye. He should take on a bigger role due to the graduation of his brother. He averaged just over 16 ppg as a freshman.

After quietly putting together a standout freshman campaign in Cumberland County, Sallie has used the start of the grassroots season with Central PA Elite to announce himself as one of the more intriguing long-term backcourt prospects in the state. A long and fluid guard with good positional size already, Sallie plays with a confident, freewheeling approach offensively while being a consistent creator for himself and others. He shows scoring ability from all three levels and is especially dangerous in the open floor where his slender frame is less inhibiting. Sallie will look to carry his play over to the EYBL circuit when he joins Team Melo for July, with plenty of potential left to tap into as he adds strength and experience.

After an amazing freshman campaign in which he averaged 17 points per night, Sallie has been simply incredible on the May grassroots circuit. Hoops heads and scouts are still talking about the 40-spot he dropped at the Philly Spring Clash tournament. Sallie owns a filthy offensive skill set. He can pop triples from all around the arc. His step back long-range shooting is especially impressive. Sallie can also attack the cup off the dribble for points and assists. When he is looking to score off the bounce, Sallie’s length and lift enables him to finish over the top of most defenders. If the help defense closes off his path, Sallie will slip a pass to the dunker spot or kick out to an open shooter. Additionally, Sallie is a tremendous open-court player.
