Expert Analysis
Tony Roe | Prep Hoops Scout
A talented 6-5/6-6 combo forward, Blatchford was dominant as a junior, averaging 18.6 points and 11.3 rebounds with impressive 49-38-58 shooting splits. He has a smooth stroke from the arc and the size to get his shot off whenever he wants at this level. He plays with a non-stop motor and is absolutely dominant on the glass (4.1 offensive, 7.1 defensive rebounds a game).

Blatchford put up some really big numbers as a junior for West Monona (18.6 points, 11.3 rebounds) and I was excited to get my first live look at him. He played well on both ends of the floor, showing a little bit of everything that his statistical line suggested we would see. He can score from all three levels, showing confidence in his jumper as well as really solid footwork and touch on post touches. He’s a long, lanky defender who can provide some versatility on that end, and he competes hard on the glass on both ends of the floor.

Blatchford really jumped out on film when we watched the Spartans, and we’re looking forward to getting a live look at him and seeing how he competes against players from bigger schools. He was a walking double-double as a junior, averaging 18.6 points and 11.3 rebounds a game while shooting 49% from the floor and 38% from the arc.
