Ben Helmers Ben Helmers 6'4" | PG Algona | 2025 State IABen has been excellent on both ends of the court so far this season. He does a good job of getting to his spots and finishing around the rim and will knock down open shots at a high level. On defense, Ben is always active in passing lanes, coming up with tips and steals. The 6’3 sophomore is averaging 18.3 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game, 2.1 steals per game, and 1.3 blocks per game. Keep an eye on Ben to make a lot of noise this postseason and the next few years.
Landon Blatchford Landon Blatchford 6'6" | SF West Monona | 2023 State IABlatchford is a solid 6’4 forward who can score inside or out around the arc. The senior does a great job of rebounding on both ends of the court, along with excellent defense. This season Landon averages 20.8 points per game and 12.9 rebounds per game.
Jaxon Bunkers Jaxon Bunkers 5'11" | SF St. Mary's, Remsen | 2023 State IABunkers is a do-it-all guy for a solid Remsen St Mary’s team. He is currently averaging 16 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game, and 5.3 assists per game. Jaxon has been a spark plug for this Remsen team all season. When his energy is high, it is undeniable to see its positive effect on this team—the senior hopes to lead this team back to Des Moines for their 7th straight state tournament appearance.
Matthew Noll Matthew Noll 6'7" | PF Bishop Heelan | 2024 State IANoll is a solid forward who can score the ball at all three levels. Matt does an excellent job of moving without the ball to find his spot in the defense and continues improving his game off the dribble. He does an excellent job of being in position on defense, often coming up with shot blocks and contests—the junior averages 18.1 points per game and 7.9 rebounds on 52-30-78 shooting splits.
Kylar Fritz Kylar Fritz 6'0" | SG Sioux Center | 2023 State IAFritz is another do-it-all guy who can impact the game on both ends of the court for this Sioux Center squad. The senior plays with a high motor, often finding ways to turn good defense into easy offense. Kylar currently averages 18.8 points per game, 6.4 rebounds per game, and 2.8 steals per game. Keep an eye on Kylar to be a high-impact player this postseason.
