emerges in the final rankings update of the 2024 class out of Trinity School of Durham & Chapel Hill at 95. He’s a 6-foot-4 prospect who’s shown he can operate on the perimeter and off the bounce given his length and athleticism on the hardwood. He posted a season-high 41 points in his final game of the season in a 60-59 victory, going 14-of-22 from the field and 4-of-10 from deep along with 10 rebounds and two assists to record his eighth double-double on the year. He produced 27.7 PPG to rank 10th in the state of North Carolina, according to MaxPreps, while also averaging 7.6 RPG, 4.1 APG and 1.2 SPG in his final year of high school basketball. He’s a prospect for DIII and JUCO programs in the region in need of a versatile guard/wing.

Smith got better as the week went along, highlighted with a 24 point game against Trinity Academy and then a 32 point game that was essential in them beating Thales Academy Rolesville. He’s a volume scorer that makes difficult shots on the move consistently, and is a high usage point guard. He can create for his teammates in spurts, but the primary role for him is to be a scorer. He’s got great positional size, and he should be worthy as an unsigned senior to get college coaches attention.

Smith is a thin, lanky guard who can score the ball in bunches when he is needed to. He’s a scorer that thrives all over the place, especially shooting jumpers. However, I’ve been impressed by his ability to pass and make the right read for his teammates as well. He’s not someone who is going to make his team win or lose just by scoring, so it’s been good to see him get his teammates involved.
