Jahseem Felton Jahseem Felton 6’5″ | CG Combine Academy (NC) | 2024 State #189 Nation NC makes his return to the North Carolina 2024 rankings in the final update as he checks in at No. 17 in the class. He’s a sizeable 6-foot-5 prospect who can operate at the guard/wing role given his ability to attack the paint and finish in traffic. He put up 16.3 PPG, 4.5 APG and 4.0 RPG during the regular season for the Blue Checks on the OTE stage this year as they earned the fifth seed in this year’s playoff field. He shot 48.9 percent from two-point range as an effective slashing threat for his squad this season. Look for him to make a splash in the Big East Conference next season with Seton Hall following his final year on the OTE stage.
Emmanuel Okitondo Emmanuel Okitondo 6’8″ | PF Combine Academy | 2024 State NC is another athletic forward prospect out of the Combine Academy frontcourt to get to know. He checks in No. 48 in the final rankings update of the 2024 class in the state of North Carolina given his skillset at the forward spot. He’s a 6-foot-8 forward who can get up the floor in a hurry and finish around the rim and maintains tremendous ability of finding the ball in the air around the rim for rebounding opportunities. He’s got impressive body control with the ball in his hands which allows him to maneuver the painted area for scoring opportunities. He’s got budding versatility at the next level given his ability to roam the perimeter and operate off the bounce. He’s a name for Division I programs in the region to get eyes on as an unsigned senior prospect with offers already from the likes of East Carolina, Fairfield, NJIT, Rutgers, UMBC, among a few other LM/MM programs.

6-foot-8 versatile forward Brady Kester Brady Kester 6’8″ | PF Davidson Day | 2024 State NC fared well as a new face in the Davidson Day School rotation in the 2024 class. He checks in at 66th in the final rankings update for the class in the state of North Carolina as he ends his career an NCISAA 2A State Champion. He finished with 11 points, seven rebounds, three blocks and two assists in showing off his ability in operate in a variety of ways in the state championship victory over Greenfield. He’s a versatile presence at 6-foot-8 who’s shown he can operate in a variety of ways in the painted area and on the perimeter. He also knocked down a 3-pointer. Navy and West Virginia Tech have offered him as one should expect a few more college programs to contact him given his size and abilities on the perimeter and in the frontcourt.

Jacob Paraison Jacob Paraison 6’4″ | CG Myers Park | 2024 State NC checks in at 68th in the final rankings of the 2024 class in the state. He’s a 6-foot-2 guard at Myers Park High who turned heads in the final update cycle with his impact defensively and on the perimeter. He put up He’s a strong-framed guard prospect who’s shown he can defend at a high level and knock down shots on the perimeter when the ball comes his way. He’s a prospect for Division II and III programs in the region to get eyes on as another recruiting cycle approaches. He plays hard-nosed defensively which is a contagious energy for teammates to feed off of. He’s a next-level guard who can play a few different roles with his size, athleticism and IQ on the hardwood.
Da’Mori Lytch Da’Mori Lytch 6’6″ | SF Quality Education Academy | 2024 State NC is an athletic 6-foot-6 guard/wingout of Quality Education Academy to get to know at No. 75 as a new face in the final rankings update. He joined the Fighting Pharaohs following a career in the state of South Carolina at Wilson High in Florence before moving north in 2023-24. He’s a two-way presence who’s shown he can operate at a few different positions on the floor given his size, length and athleticism. As he continues to add strength to his frame, he’s a prospect to keep an eye on a few years down the road. Polk State, Lee College (TX), Clarendon College are three college programs that have offered him so far as the 2024 recruiting cycle wraps up over the next few months.
Damani Day Damani Day 6’0″ | CG West Charlotte | 2024 State NC had himself a breakout scoring season of sorts in the West Charlotte High backcourt as he emerges as a new face in the final rankings update at 78th in the class. He produced 13.1 PPG in 2023-24, up from his production of 5.9 PPG in 2022-23. He knocked down 54 3-pointers on the season while shooting 38 percent from behind the arc with the Lions. Dean College is the lone college program to offer him so far as the recruiting cycle wraps up for the class.

Jalen Chambers Jalen Chambers 6’3″ | CG Mooresville | 2024 State NC checks in at No. 83 as a new face in the final rankings update in the 2024 class. Chambers led the backcourt attack for Mooresville High as they earned a 20-seed in this year’s NCHSAA 4A State Playoffs. They upset No. 13 West Forsyth in the opening round on the road with Chambers posting 14 points and two steals in an all-around team victory. He’s a shifty combo guard prospect at 6-foot-3 who’s capable of making plays for himself and others off the bounce. He’s an underrated athlete defensively as well. He was a 2nd team All-District 11 performer this past season with the Blue Devils in showcasing his ability to operate off the bounce and off the catch this season. Dean College and Sandhills CC are a few of the college programs to offer him.

Will Givens Will Givens 6’0″ | CG West Rowan | 2024 State NC is a new face out of West Rowan High who clocks in at No. 86 as a 6-foot-1 combo guard in the final 2024 rankings update. He’s quite the sharpshooting presence on the perimeter as evidenced by an explosion back on Feb. 10 which saw him knock down eight 3-pointers to the tune of 32 points against JM Robinson High. He’s a competitive guard to have in the backcourt given his knack for scoring in a hurry. Whether off the catch or off the bounce, he’s a lethal presence who can fill it up in a variety of ways on the scoring front after surpassing the 1,000-point plateau with West Rowan High this past January. He’s headed to Johnson & Wales following his senior season.

Jackson Rein Jackson Rein 6’6″ | SF Ravenscroft | 2024 State NC checks in at 87th in the final rankings update in the 2024 class in the state. Rein had himself a busy senior campaign at Ravenscroft in showcasing his development before he heads off to Williams (MA) at the next level. He was a double-double machine in the Ravens frontcourt in his final year of high school basketball as he showed an innate ability to play off two-feet with tremendous footwork. He’ll certainly make an instant impact given his ability to make high energy plays on both ends of the hardwood with his length, athleticism and skill set.
Izaiah Littlejohn Izaiah Littlejohn 6’5″ | SF Hickory | 2024 State NC checks in at No. 90 in the final rankings update for the 2024 class as their recruiting cycle wraps up. He’s an athletic prospect at 6-foot-5 who can operate on both the wing and in the painted area given his length and athleticism. He’s an effective presence when creating turnovers and fastbreak opportunities for his squad in the open floor as evidenced by their 31-0 record. He’s played quite the role in a well-balanced attack with his unselfish playmaking ability and nose for the ball on both ends of the floor. He’ll be one name to keep an eye on in this year’s NCHSAA 3A West Region Finals on Tuesday as they’ll look to end the two-year winning streak of Central Cabarrus High. Cleveland CC is one college program to offer him back in February as he’s a developmental prospect on the JUCO stage.

Sayvion Saunders Sayvion Saunders 6’9″ | C Northeastern | 2024 State NC is a sizeable name in the 2024 rankings final update checking in at 91st out of Northeastern High. He led their frontcourt this season as he continues to develop his motor on both ends of the hardwood. He averaged 13.5 PPG and 4.3 RPG. He had a number of big performances in the painted area this season including 30 points against Manteo in a 108-67 victory back on Feb. 9. He’s a prospect with a number of offers already from JUCO programs heading into the final months of the recruiting cycle.

Kyren Smith Kyren Smith 6’3″ | PG Trinity Of Durham And Chapel Hill | 2024 State NC emerges in the final rankings update of the 2024 class out of Trinity School of Durham & Chapel Hill at 95. He’s a 6-foot-4 prospect who’s shown he can operate on the perimeter and off the bounce given his length and athleticism on the hardwood. He posted a season-high 41 points in his final game of the season in a 60-59 victory, going 14-of-22 from the field and 4-of-10 from deep along with 10 rebounds and two assists to record his eighth double-double on the year. He produced 27.7 PPG to rank 10th in the state of North Carolina, according to MaxPreps, while also averaging 7.6 RPG, 4.1 APG and 1.2 SPG in his final year of high school basketball. He’s a prospect for DIII and JUCO programs in the region in need of a versatile guard/wing.

Jadin Haynes Jadin Haynes 6’5″ | SF DSA | 2024 State NC is the final of the new faces in the final rankings update at 98th in the 2024 class in the state out of Durham School of the Arts. He led the Bulldogs rotation in a variety of ways with his production of 17.2 PPG, 8.0 RPG, 2.7 BPG and 1.1 APG. He’s a prospect at 6-foot-5 with a knack for blocking shots, rebounding the ball and attacking the paint with his speed and athleticism off the bounce and downhill. He’s slowly developing his ability to be aggressive when given opportunities in the half court and fast break. He’s another prospect for DIII and JUCO programs to get eyes on after turning heads at the PH Top 250 North Carolina Showcase this past preseason.
