-Davis stood out as a defensive-minded wing that sought out challenges guarding different shooters, scorers, and physical leapers. Davis uses a sturdy frame to chest up with forwards in the paint but has enough speed and quickness to chase around shooters depending on matchup needs for GP. Want to see what he can do during the AAU season to get a better feel for his scoring creativity with the ball in his hands. But his energy, effort, and defensive versatility make him a valuable piece moving forward.

-While he didn’t have a huge scoring day, Davis’ rebounding and defensive versatility really stood out through a nice road win for Georgetown Prep. Davis has a great frame, was active in help rotations defensively, had a nice readjustment to score off the pivot in the paint, and was physical against taller forward prospects throughout the night to push them off their spot around the rim. Loved the motor that he showed throughout the game as he played several different positions for his team in a well-rounded, unselfish team effort from the junior wing.

Kyle has been a steady starter this season for GP since joining the team. He does a multitude of things that translate to winning basketball. He defends at a high level and I have seen him quite literally lock down the opposing team’s best scoring option. Kyle causes turnovers and competes with real discipline on that end of the floor. Offensively, he plays the game the right way and can be trusted to make the correct play with the ball. He gets out in transition and looks to finish possessions strong in the paint. He’s a decent shooter right now, with room to grow into a more consistent threat with the ball as a playmaker. His physicality in the paint and defensive value make him a major piece that has helped keep Georgetown rolling this season.

I was very impressed with Kyle’s composure and maturity in his game. His basketball IQ speaks loudest about his game, and he’s got the physicals to be an impact wing on a game-to-game basis. He can shoot the ball from the perimeter or get to the basket off the dribble. Kyle has sneaky speed and proves he can beat his matchup consistently. Will eventually get more comfort with the ball in his hands more over time, but the potential here is sneaky good. Could turn into a vital 3&D three-guard at the next level.

Known for his rugged and powerful style, Davis excels at attacking the basket and applying pressure on the rim. Although opponents have made efforts to limit his opportunities by packing the paint and preventing fast breaks, Davis still manages to finish plays and draw fouls. He also provides valuable defensive versatility by guarding multiple positions and rebounding at a solid rate.
