About Korben

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a high-IQ combo guard who plays with pace, facilitates offense, and scores efficiently on or off the ball. I rely on strong shooting fundamentals with a quick release and compete defensively with effort and awareness.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a team-first, disciplined mentality and take pride in being coachable, dependable, and consistent. I approach the game with a strong work ethic, stay composed under pressure, and focus on continual improvement while doing whatever the team needs to win.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

First Priority Christian Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed strong leadership and teamwork skills through serving as a team captain and taking on added responsibility at the varsity level. I lead by example through effort, communication, and preparation, and I value accountability and supporting teammates. I have also built discipline, resilience, and time-management skills by balancing academics with a demanding basketball schedule.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Last season, I broke my foot before the first game but still played, not realizing it was broken. While sidelined for 4–6 weeks, I stayed engaged, supported my teammates, and gained a new perspective that helped fuel my successful comeback and growth as a player.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college where I can compete at a high level in basketball while continuing to grow academically. I want a program with a coaching staff that values development, accountability, and a team-first mentality, where I can contribute as a player, continue improving my skills, and pursue a degree that will prepare me for life after basketball.
