Shackleton is a prospect who stands out to us because his physical tools and defensive mentality give him a high ceiling moving forward. His physicality, length and nonstop motor give him a foundation to control the paint, dominate the glass and make opponents uncomfortable around the rim. We expect his ability to defend, rebound and bring energy to translate as the competition gets tougher. If he continues expanding his offensive skill set, his overall value could rise quickly. The combination of toughness, defensive instincts and physical tools gives Shackleton a legitimate chance to emerge as a standout frontcourt prospect

Shackleton was one of the more physical interior presences at the showcase, playing with a motor that consistently showed up on the glass and defensively. He battled for position, absorbed contact and used his strong frame to make the paint a difficult place to operate. His length and active arms bothered drivers and forced opponents into tough finishes or altered looks. He also showed good instincts away from the ball, setting solid screens and running the floor hard. Shackleton’s toughness and defensive presence made him a difficult matchup throughout the day
