With more power and pace into his compact frame, Ferguson is having an outstanding sophomore campaign. Has deep range and a reliable mid-range jumper, which has been evident since last year. But this year he’s stronger and craftier at the rim. Scoring is clearly his primary DNA, but will be interesting to see how his playmaking and creation abilities develop. He has fun moments of that in transition, but mastering his half court reads and feel will unlock new levels to his collegiate potential.

Harding Charter nearly took down top 5 Class 3A Heritage Hall on Thursday night. And it was Ferguson leading the way, especially as the Eagles were down one of his top running mates. After being a sniper last year, Ferguson has added more to his off the bounce game. It’s evident, especially when he pushes in transition. Has just a little more speed, to go along with good footwork and more strength as a finisher. The improved strength in his core is also notable in how he’s able to navigate in the mid-range. Where he’s tough shot maker. There are good signs that Ferguson is becoming a complete scorer, and could position the Eagles to be a 4A sleeper during the playoffs.

A full stat line performance for Ferguson in a season opening win. Known for his deep range from three, he was also pushing the issue off the bounce. Getting to the rim and also setting up teammates’ with easy scores. Looks smoother and more in control as an all around scorer now. Complete with flair as a passer. Ferguson should be one of the more productive sophomores in the state for a Harding Charter team that aims to make noise in Class 4A.

Ferguson has good all around juice to his game. With a crafty about to get to the rim, variety of finishing moves and good handles. But possibly his best trait is the sheer range he can hit from deep. When his feet are set, he’s comfortable hitting from 25+ plus. Which brings great gravity to the halfcourt set, giving him more room to play-make for himself and his teammates. Also looks unaffected by close outs and hands in his face.

The skill level of Ferguson was never in question after his productive freshman campaign at Harding Charter. Comfortable range from a few steps past the three point line, while also capable of handling the rock to pressure the rim. Today more observation added to the positive impressions of him with the confidence and swagger he’s showed playing against older prospects. Definitely has some “pop” and no back down to his game. Has been a key part of a Unity team that went 3-0 to make it to the semifinals.

Ferguson was a bucket for 4A Harding. Deep range from three, while also being crafty off the dribble. Capable of getting to his spots in the mid-range, and quickly pulling up. Plays with good poise and control for a player for his age, capable of acrobatic finishes at the rim. Very productive freshman season, with an impressive all around scoring skillset. Will need to continue to maximize his athleticism to go along with his skill based attack.

A double digit scorer for Harding Charter throughout the tournament, Ferguson has a solid all around game. Has range from three that extends a few steps from beyond the three point line. Plays under control when driving, with solid handles and good balance to stop and pull up or pressure the rim. Promising freshman season for the 405 guard, who has a solid skill foundation and is gaining valuable varsity experience.
