King Whatley King Whatley 6'4" | C/PF Plano East | 2028 TX has a strong physical profile for a young perimeter prospect and already brings useful size at 6’4″. He can impact possessions without dominating the ball by running the floor, cutting into open space, defending, and using his frame around the basket. Offensively, his best long-term path is developing into a dependable two-way wing who can punish closeouts and consistently knock down open perimeter shots. His size gives him flexibility defensively because he isn’t limited to guarding smaller backcourt players. Whatley’s ability to contribute in multiple areas gives him a solid foundation to build upon.

King Whatley did a lot of the dirty work for his Hard Hoops 16u team. Vocal leader and defensive anchor. He was able to control the boards on both ends of the floor while also being a big time rim protector. Mobile big man that was able to show his switchability and contain guards on the perimeter. Offensively he showed flashes of a smooth face up game in the mid-post. Soft touch on a couple jumpers as well as being capable of putting the ball on the floor and finishing strong.
