Armstrong has always tweened between forward and wing, but after June I comfortably can say he’s a solid wing. The ball handling has taken a step up, as well as his off the dribble jump shot. Armstrong now is a bit more versatile on defense since he’s capable of guarding some four’s but an increased ability on the perimeter makes him more fluid at positions.

Kevin Armstrong came off the bench and made a huge impact for Breck. Had a pair of impressive passes in transition. One was a last second dump off as the lone defender decided to step up on Kevin, and the second was a deep pass up the floor that he lasered through a small window to hit his man perfectly in stride. Armstrong scored 12 points as he threw down a transition dunk, hit a three from the top of the key, and converted on a few touch finishes at the rim. At 6’5 with a 6’10 wing span, Kevin possesses a very long frame that helps him finish at the rim and was also allowing him to get up in passing lanes and get a hand on passes defensively.

His long frame enables him to guard multiple positions which is very intriguing as you don’t have to hide him or work around him on that side of the floor. In transition Armstrong can rebound and go, and has euro-step that enables him to score in the lane for lay-ups.
