KJ Brooks is a long wing who can get to the basket or get rebounds on the offensive end. I’m a big fan of the way that he plays defense, he can cover ground very quickly and won’t give you much time to get a shot off. I think that he’ll thrive this year at Mater East Academy because of how hard he plays.

The future is so bright for the Canyon rising sophomore. He has size, and a nice skill set. Don’t be surprised to see the breakout player stretch the floor and slash to the cup much more frequently this season.

Brooks is a talented player with size. Got a glimpse of the freshman big last weekend during the April Bash. With his size, ability to run, and athleticism, he’s an easy player to watch.

Brooks and Reed are very similar, and will be compared against each other for much of their careers. The same way Reed impressed during the Venom Rankings, Brooks impressed during this past falls Prephoops Expo. He has the size and length to be a problem on the defensive end, and as he showed at the Expo, he already has floor stretching ability out to 15-18 feet.

Didn’t get a chance to see much of Brooks during the high school season, so really looking forward to watching him in this setting. Last we saw, he was displaying an improved face up game, to match length and rebounding ability.

22↑9 Brooks took that number 22 rankings and shoved it right back in everyone’s face. He’s a long rangy forward that rebounds the basketball, defends and can score around the rim. He’s also developed a nice jumper from about 15 feet out. Brooks makes a big jump in the latest rankings.

Brooks showed out at the recent Expo. The long rangy lefty has a developing offensive game which includes the ability to shoot it out to 15 feet. His best skill is his motor, he competes hard, for 50/50 and in trafic boards, keep an eye on his rising stock when the rankings are released.
