22p 6r 3a 1s vs Glenelg Country
-The shooting development has really come a long way for the senior as a combo guard prospect that can fill it up in a hurry. Dankyi utilized pump fakes around the rim to get defenders in the air to earn trips to the free throw line, hit perimeter shots with improved off-ball movement as well as off the bounce coming off of ball screens, slashed from the wing to the opposite side of the rim to hit reverse layups, and had a crucial blow-by lay with the left hand late in the game. His moxie to come up with loose balls in traffic and fight back when facing deficits speaks to his character and value to this basketball team.

Kem had one of those shooting performances where it felt like the jumper was automatic once he got any type of daylight. Throughout the game, Kem did a great job working off the ball, running off screens nonstop and constantly relocating to create clean looks. He understands how to leverage his speed with awareness, using screens effectively and setting up defenders before popping open on the perimeter. Once he caught the ball, Kem was ready to fire and he made shots from all around the perimeter with consistency. His movement and shot readiness were a major key in spacing the floor, and this was a strong statement game for him as a spot-up threat.

Active lefty impress with his athleticism and energy on both ends of the floor. Kem shooting range from beyond the arc, pairing it with good size and athleticism was noticeable as well. He did a solid job establishing early position to rebound and protect the paint, while also stretching the floor when needed. Finished the game with 8 rebounds and numerous steals.

Kem was decisive in his overall performance at the Expo. He was able to read the floor in ways that others could not, which set him over the edge. Kem knew how to use his size at the right times whether to score or facilitate to others. Also used his size well on the defensive side, able to stop drives and generate steals into fastbreak opportunities. Thought he did a great job of attacking the basket in a couple dribbles, then making the kickout to an open shooter. Made a solid amount of threes through the day through spotting up or pulling off the dribble. Kem also did well at drawing fouls at the rim from slashing hard to the basket.

had an all-around great game for Pallotti in their close loss to Takoma Academy. Kem is a strong and physical two-guard who does a great job attacking the rim. However, Kem did a lot of his work today behind the arc, which is something he’s struggled with a little bit recently. Kem is a versatile defender and a good rebounder. Kem had 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists.

had a great all-around game for Pallotti, and I felt that he was dominant in this one. Kem is athletic and is just straight-up stronger than other guards on the court. He uses his physicality to attack the rim and did an excellent job using his strength and leaping ability to grab rebounds. Kem knocked down threes, and he made the right decision with the ball several times. He finished with 25 points, 5 assists, and 8 rebounds.

16p 5r 4a 2s 60% FG
-Dankyi continues to impress as a physical spark plug for Pallotti in the backcourt. Dankyi uses a strong frame to bully opponents on his way to the rim, grab rebounds in traffic amongst the trees in the paint, and guard a variety of positions for the Panthers. Finished with 16p on 60% shooting because of improved shot selection, turning down good shots on the perimeter to find great ones for himself or teammates in the paint by attacking closeouts with more regularity. His ability to guard at 1-3 and switch onto forwards makes him a valuable asset for Coach Douglas as he heads into his senior year looking to make a big splash in the MIAA.

15p 4r 3s 1a vs St. John’s Catholic Prep
-Probably my favorite find of the tournament as a dynamic guard that is adept at slashing to the rim with the ball in his hands and timing his cuts for easy backdoor bunnies off the ball. Dankyi impressed throughout the evening as a physical defender that works as an effective trapper that pokes away steals without fouling as a helper. He read the passer well and blitzed into the lane to snag a steal and lay it up at the other end, chased down his own miss from 18 feet and hit the scooping lay in the paint, and maintained his aggressive play while also displaying the feel to bring the ball back up top if he didn’t have numbers in transition. His wide-ranging skillset should be crucial to the Panthers success this season.
