About Kellen

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I can score at all three levels at a high clip. High IQ player that plays hard and unselfish. Run the floor well, play solid defense, and be an playmaker off the dribble. Left handed and shifty in getting to the rim. High percentage three point/FT shooter. Can play in a spread 5 out, run and gun, or play within set plays. Adapts well to pressure. I don’t turn the ball over much at all.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a calm, cool, collected player that plays the game to compete and win, that will not celebrate anything on the court until the game ends. I possess both the IQ & EQ to be successful short term and long term for my team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Not at this time. I fully concentrate my efforts on school and basketball to improve on both areas each and everyday.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have worked to become a vocal leader, showing my teammates that your efforts and action on the court tell the real truth. I continue to work on inspiring and motivating my teammates through my play and by cheering them on in a positive manner, while holding them accountable at the same time. My goal is to be a team captain as a Sophomore.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I broke my nose in practice on 12/31/2025. I had to wear a mask for 4 straight games prior to having surgery to repair the fracture. In those 4 games played with the mask, I set a then career highs in back to back games in scoring with 13 & 29 respectively, while hitting a team record 8 3s made in one game.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a coaching staff that develops its players, competes at a high level, and offers a winning tradition. A program that will push me to my limits and wants a leader, playmaker, and winner.

There were a few players playing up a grade at the Prep Hoops Indiana State Tournament over the weekend and arguably the best player performance I saw out of that group was Kellen Williams Kellen Williams Kellen Williams 6'2" | SG/PG Tipton | 2029 IN . Williams is a 2029 prospect that played up a grade with Refined Indiana Blue 16U and showed no signs up struggled playing against an older group. I think I could make a case that he was the smoothest shooter on the wing with a long frame at 6’2. High IQ player that can take over a game with his pure shooting stroke.
