The football star had 10 points, which mostly came from the interior. There was not much Central could do about Smith, as he used his strength and athleticism to force his way inside and finish through traffic.
In addition to Smith hitting a contested mid-range jumper, the senior displayed solid handles, not letting loose of the ball and squeezing in and out of tight spaces.

Kelen let his defense do the talking for him in a big way. He defended the perimeter not allowing easy open looks and playing with active hands looking to cut the passing lanes. He was successful in turning tipped passes into steals, and then fast break scores where he finished well through contact.

Smith is a quick athletic guard who does a lot offensively and defensively. The 6’2 guard was hitting much needed shot after shot for a Jonesboro team that was struggling to score at times. Attacking the rim Smith uses his body really well to keep the defender from blocking his shot. Smith also has a really good pull up game and is comfortable knocking them down. He had a team high 20 points for Jonesboro vs Har-Ber.
