Expert Analysis
Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Beck, one of the NHIAA’s top big men, will head to New York next year to play his college basketball at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Beck has done a great job of controlling the paint and the glass for Laconia this winter. He does a good job of carving out space as a rebounder and has shown nice timing and feel as a shot blocker. Offensively, he has range out to 15′ and is comfortable turning and facing when he can play off one or two bounces. However, he fits the mold of a true low post threat with his exceptional hands, good catch radius, and impressive footwork on scoring moves.

Read EvaluationWill Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Beck, one of the NHIAA’s most formidable post players, topped the 1,000 point mark in a victory over Kennett on Wednesday. A true low post scorer, Beck has great hands and impressive footwork. He’s capable of handling the ball and makes good decisions out of double teams. Defensively, he protects the paint, uses his size to his advantage on the glass, and can initiate offense with his outlet passes.
