Clemmons II, after spending a year in New England, will return home when he suits up next year for Delaware State University. A big guard that can play on or off the ball, Clemmons II has an advanced skill set on the offensive end. He’s a three level scorer that can really fill it up; however, he’s also shown that he’s a capable decision maker with the ball in his hands. Defensively, he sits in a stance and really competes and should have no trouble adjusting on that end at the college level.
Highlights
Wolinski, a big-time scorer in the MIAA, recently announced his commitment to Wesleyan University. The North Andover product figures to slide over a position at the next level where he can run an offense from the lead guard spot. While he’s put up huge scoring numbers in high school, what stands out about his ability at the next level is his floor vision and feel for playing with and changing paces. Defensively, he’s a strong on-ball defender that loves to compete and more importantly, is a proven winner.
Ashton Leclerc
Ashton Leclerc
Leclerc will take his talents south next year when he heads to Roger Williams University. A three level scorer in the MPA, Leclerc figures to fit perfectly in the Hawks system as he is a high level shooter from behind the arc (he knocked down 9 3’s in a game this winter). He’s capable of being a secondary ball-handler and has some shiftiness off the bounce that lets him get into the paint and create for others. Defensively, he moves his feet well laterally and isn’t afraid to mix it up on the glass.
Beck, one of the NHIAA’s top big men, will head to New York next year to play his college basketball at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Beck has done a great job of controlling the paint and the glass for Laconia this winter. He does a good job of carving out space as a rebounder and has shown nice timing and feel as a shot blocker. Offensively, he has range out to 15′ and is comfortable turning and facing when he can play off one or two bounces. However, he fits the mold of a true low post threat with his exceptional hands, good catch radius, and impressive footwork on scoring moves.
